Beef Show Rules & Guidelines
The deadline to enter is August 1st, 2025. Late entries will be accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for their own shavings. Entry Fee includes fair admission for the exhibitor only. All others are required to purchase tickets online or at the fair entry gate the day of the show.

Cattle for all shows must be in place by 3:00pm.
1) No animals will be admitted to the Fairgrounds without "Certificate of Veterinary Inspection" (Health papers).
2) No exhibitors will be allowed more than (2) animals per lot.
3) Entry fee is $15.00 per head for Open Beef Show.
Extra Tie spaces are $10.00 each (Limit 1).
4) Premiums & Ribbons are given for 1st - 5th places.
5) Open Beef Cattle need to be in place by 3:00pm Wednesday,
Aug. 27, 2025.
6) Beef Cattle MUST be registered unless they are
exhibiting in the Commercial Class.

Commercial Heifers will be assigned to a class based on hip height measurements regardless of breed.

Commercial Heifers must have their "Milk Teeth" and weaned.
Heifers must be owned by exhibitors and under their care and management by May 1 of current year, per rules regarding Junior Heifer Shows. Exhibitors will not be allowed to show more than four (4) animals in the commercial show. Heifers will be assigned to maximum 5 lots based on hip height measurements. Heifers shown in the Commercial Show are not eligible to be shown in the registered show. Registered animals will not be allowed to show in this show. Entries for this show must be submitted on a special entry form found online at seviercountyfair.org. Heifers must be permanently identified by a legible tattoo in both ears and ear tags.
7) Open Beef Cattle will be released to tie out or leave the
fairground at 9pm following their respective shows.
8) Exhibitors will be responsible for providing their own
shavings.
9) Cattle must be tied in stalls with halters and neck ropes
no longer than 3ft. In order to show, your cattle must be
tied in the barn unless there isn't enough room.
10) Cattle must be washed in designated wash area.
11) Safety: Everything possible will be done to prevent accidents;
however, if any should occur, neither the Sevier County Fair, nor
Fair Personnel, nor others connected with the management of
Sevier County Fair assumes any liability, either legal or otherwise
to person or property.
Code of Ethics
Direct criticism or interference with the judge, fair or livestock show management, other exhibitors, or show officials before, during or after the competitive event is prohibited. The Sevier County Fair Association reserves the right to withhold prizes awarded and/or reserves the right to ask an offender to leave the
premises, in any case in which it appears to the Sevier County Fair Association, or its management team, that an exhibitor/fairgoer is violating this Code of Ethics.
No owner, exhibitor, fitter, trainer or absolutely responsible person shall conspire with another person or persons to intentionally violate this Code of Ethics or knowingly contribute or cooperate with another person or persons either by affirmative action or
inaction to violate this Code of Ethics.
General Rules for Junior Dairy & Beef Showmanship
1) Judging will be based on the ability to:
A) Present cattle to the judge.
B) Follow show ring procedure.
C) Control your animal.
2) Groom your animal for the show. Premiums & ribbons are
given for 1st - 5th places.
General Information
ALL Livestock MUST be pre-entered. Entries must be
received by August 1st. Entries must be on regulation entry
forms furnished by the Sevier County Fair. Open & Junior
entries need to be on separate forms. If entries are
postmarked after August 1st an additional $10 fee will be required.
