Friday, August 22nd
90 Year Essay Contest (Deadline is Aug. 11th - Judging is Aug 22nd)
Sponsored by Ratcliff Chiropractic Where does health come from? How can you live to be 90 years old? What do you want your life to look like when you are 90 years old.
Open to K - 12th grade. Essays must be sent to Sevier County Fair, PO Box 6514, Sevierville, TN 37864 by no later than August 11th, 2025.
K - 3rd grade: Write a sentence answering the question - Where does health come from?
4th - 8th grade: Write a 5-sentence paragraph answering the questions - Where does health come from? What do you hope life looks like at 90 years old?
9th - 12th grade: Write 1 page (500 - 750 word) answering the questions - Where does health come from? How can you live to be 90 years old? What do you want your life to look like when you are 90 years old?

Tuesday, August 26th
5:30pm to 7:30pm Concessionaires Contest
Our 2025 Fair Food Concessionaires competes for the 2025 "Best Of " in several categories. You can watch live judging.
6:00pm Fairest of the Fair Pageants
Sponsored by Food City. Pageants for 10 & Up. This includes Preteen, Tenn, Miss, Ms/Mrs, Ms Woman, and Senior. To enter please click here.
6:00pm RC Car Race Night
Sponsored by NASCAR Speedpark. Must be registered. $20 registration fee and includes fair admission for the racer. Click here to register.
If you haven't heard yet. Little 411 will be joining fair week to bring us RC Car Racing. Sponsored by NASCAR SpeedPark. Featuring TRAXXAS Modified, Sprint Cars, and Powder Puff. 2 race nights - $20 to register to race. Open to anyone 14 years old and up. Fee includes fair admission for the racer only. 3 Experience nights open to anyone and is free. You can bring your car to run the track or they will have cars provided. Schedule of events:

8:00pm Backseat Driver Competition
3 minute time limit per team. 2 person team. The first 20 teams to sign up each night will compete. You just sign a waiver to register. Driver must be 16 years old or older and have a valid driver license. Teams of 2 will compete in a golf cart on a designated obstacle course. Cash Prizes for 1st - 3rd place. Rules and Instructions give to teams at the time of registration. Please click here to pre-register for the competition. You may also check at the Information Booth to see if there are any spaces available the day of the event. If spaces are open, you may register the day of by 7:00pm.
8:30pm Moonpie & RC Cola Eating Contest

6:00pm Vienna Sausage Eating Contest

7:00pm Lodge Cast Iron Cornbread Challenge
Sponsored by Lodge Cast Iron. Entries must be brought to the NEW Exhibit Hall Food Stage, located in the back of the Exhibit Hall Building between 6:00pm to 6:30pm for check-in. Judging will begin at 7:00pm sharp and will take place live. We ask that you be present during judging and that all winners are available for prize presentations and pictures afterwards. Two divisions - Traditional & Most Unique. Click here to register.
Rules:
All entries must be made from scratch. No store bought mixes. Must be brought in a 12" Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. You may enter both divisions. Must have 3"x5" index card with typed or neatly handwritten recipe. $5 entry fee, which includes your fair admission for the contestant only. Open to anyone 10 years old and up. Judging based on appearance, creativity, taste, texture and aroma.

Thursday, August 28th
6:00pm Lodge Cast Iron Skillet Toss
Sponsored by Lodge Cast Iron. Registration for this contest is on the day
of the event at the Information Booth. Our Skillet Toss has grown so much
over the last few years we are trying a new schedule to keep folks from
having to wait as long. (These times are estimates and we will do our best
to be close.) Contest located by the Lodge Tent and Arena. FREE to enter.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st & 2nd place in each division.
Kids 5 – 8 years old 6:30pm - 6:45pm
Kids 9 – 11 years old 6:45pm – 7:00pm

6:00pm Banana Pudding Contest
Do you think you have the best? Let's find out! 1st place - $150, 2nd place - $75, and 3rd place $25. Bring your pudding on Thursday, August 28th between 5pm to 5:30pm to the new stage located in the back of the Exhibit Hall. Must be a Tennessee resident and 18 y ears old or older. One entry per contestant. Pudding must be cooked (NO instant pudding). Must have a meringue-type topping. Entry must be made the day of the contest and brought in ready to serve. No decorations or any around the entry. Entry must be brought in a disposable pan. Judging will be based on appearance and tase. Any entry not picked up one hour after contest will be discarded. You must register here by August 25th, 2025. Prizes awarded immediately after the judge's decisions. You MUST have two Ready to Cook Pudding Boxes or one box of Vanilla Wafers at the entry gate to receive free admission. Donations will go to the Sevier County Food Ministry. (Two puddings = one free admission, or one box of wafers = one free admission for contestants only.) Please click here to register.

7:00pm Style Your Squishmallow Contest
Let your Squishmallow have time at the fair. Put your Squishmallow in
their favorite designer outfits and accessories. Click here to register.
You may also register the day of the event at the Information Booth by
6:00pm. You must attach a 3"x5" index card to your Squishmallow
with the following information: name, breed/type, age, favorite color,
a description of the outfit, and why you choose this outfit. All entries
will be judged at 7:00pm at the Contest Tent. No entries will be
accepted after 7:00pm. The contestant will model with their
Squishmallow on stage so the judges an ask questions and look at
their outfits. They will be judged on: creativity, performance on stage,
neatness, and originality.

8:00pm Quaker Steak & Lube Atomic Wing Eating Contest
Sponsored by Quaker Steak & Lube. Do you have what it takes to be the fastest to eat their triple atomic hot wings? Register the day of the event (August 28th) between 4:00pm to 7:45pm (or until full). After registration deadline, if there are still spaces open we will take more entries. Contest located in the Contest Tent. Must be 18 years old or older and sign a waiver to compete.

8:45pm Ice Cream Contest
Sponsored by Mayfields. If you love ice cream, this is the event for you. FREE ice cream and a chance to eat yours the fastest for prizes. Held in the Contest Tent. Register day of the event (August 28). Registration open 4:00pm to 8:30pm (or until full). If there are still spots after registration deadline, we will keep filling spots.

Alright Gen Xers this one is for you! Or if you just happen to know a lot about the 1980's. Join us to test your knowledge of 80's pop culture, music, and events. Held in the Contest Tent. 5:00pm Best Dressed 80's Contest
Alright Gen Xers - another one for you! Or if you love the 1980's. We need to see some big hair and all kinds of neon!!! Held in the Contest Tent. Register day of the event (August 29). Saturday, August 30th
4:00pm Pet Show
Sponsored by the Sevier County Animal Care Center as part of their Woofstock events. Dress up dog and join in the fun! Categories include: Owner/Pet Look-A-Like, Class Clown, Patriotic Pooch, Prettiest in Pink, Best Disguise (dress as another type of animal), and Best of Show. $5 donation is requested per dog to enter or $20 to sign up for multiple categories. All dogs must be on a leash and well mannered. We reserve the right to ask you to leave. Children must be accompanied by and adult on the "cat-walk" to enter.
5:00pm Blue-Ribbon Bake Battle
A special baking contest on stage with real-time judging. Located in the back of the Exhibit Hall b y the Pick TN Exhibit. Special guest judgest. Prizes: 1st place - $175, 2nd place - $100, and 3rd place -$50. Categories are Bread, Cheesecake, 3 Layer Cake, and Bar Cookies(a baked dessert made from a dough or batter spread in a baking pan, cut into bars, squares, or diamonds. All entries must be delivered to the stage by 3pm on August 30th. Judging starts at 5pm. Registration fee is $10 to enter one or all categories and includes your fair entrance (for the contestant only). Pre-registration due by August 25th, 2025. Click here register.
5:00pm Jigsaw Puzzle Contest
Do you love the challenge of putting puzzles together? How quickly can you and a friend put them together? Enter the Jigsaw Puzzle Challenge to race other teams to see who can claim the honor of being named the fastest Sevier County Fair Puzzle Team for 2025! Click here to register.
Rules:
Each team receives the same 200 large piece puzzle. Limit of 10 teams. No one gets to see the puzzle until the timer begins. Boxes are placed facedown until start. Teams try to put the puzzle together the fastest. Placing is based on fastest time. If there is no declared winner by 6:00pm, the winner is chosen by the remaining number of loose pieces for each team. In the event of a tie they will given an extra five minutes. No devices or outside assistance permitted while working on the puzzle. No food or beverage (except water) is permitted in the contest area. No one is allowed to distract or approach team tables when competition is in progress. Fair admission is required to take part. Check-in at the Information Booth by 4:30pm for directions. Prizes paid per team. By participating, you accept all rules & agree to the judge's final decision.
6:00pm Boy Scout Dutch Oven Cook-Off
Sponsored by The Boy Scouts and Lodge Cast Iron. The Boy Scouts will begin cooking around 3:00pm. Judging will be held at the Lodge Cast Iron Tent at 6:00pm. To register, talk with your local Boy Scout Troop.

Sponsored by PromoNerds and Foothills Busters. Dress up as any character from any book, movie, TV Show, video game, or web series. Located in the Food Pavilion at the Sevier County Fairgrounds during the Sevier County Fair. Cash/or Prizes for all divisions. BEST OF SHOW PRIZE PACKAGE!
This event is a family event. All costumes must be G, PG, or PG13. NO STORE-BOUGHT COSTUMES. NO harmful or potentially harmful materials are allowed. NO pets or live animals of any kind. NO REAL WEAPONS OF ANY KIND.
Pre-registration online by August 26th. Click here to register. You may also register on the day of the event from 3:00pm – 6:30pm. Registration is mandatory to take part in the contest. Pre-judging will take place after completed forms and exhibitor numbers are issued. FAIR ADMISSION $8.00 MUST BE PAID TO ENTER THE FAIR AND THE CONTEST. All props MUST go through the props checkpoint at the fair entrance.
